A Gentle Morning Reset, 60 and beyond.

Wow! Mornings feel so different at this point in life. As I rise out of bed I’m thrilled not to go to work but a little part of me is lost. I’m not complaining, but it does feel weird and a bit uncertain.

So if you feel somewhat lost with how to manage your days, you’re in the right place. I’m here to tell you that I’m here with you! We can navigate together and have wonderful days and be the best that we can be!

I’ve found these strategies help me when it comes to my mornings…I thought I’d share:

I try to wake up at a consistent time. This feels good and sets the tone for the day. It also helps your body know what to expect. Something we need.

Move your body. A few stretches a little bit of a walk. This doesn’t have to be outside. Living in Wisconsin I frequently partake in a house walk. Yep. I walk back and forth listening to one of my favorite podcasts. It works. Please try it!

I forgot to say one of the joys of not working–enjoying a quiet cup of coffee and having time for me. In the morning, I’ve started writing in a journal and am trying to learn Spanish.

There doesn’t have to be a set routine if your not into that, but something organic every morning. Something you look forward to. Something you have set for yourself to do.

Steady as it goes. Let me know your morning routine. Your input will help us all. I’m curious to learn what you do and I hope you share out. Here we can promote community through sharing and friendship.

WE are in a great time of life so lets enjoy it together!! Thanks for reading! Maryanne

Enjoy your day!
