Water

I had a headache for a week.  Maybe this isn’t related to getting older but maybe it is. I’m not sure.  All I do know is lately I’ve been guilty of not getting enough water.  When I was working, I would naturally drink more water as it was a scheduled part of my day.

My headache came on like little bolts of lightning going off in my head.  It felt like my brain was glitching!  I thought maybe I was having a stroke.  But I was just dehydrated.  So, a friendly reminder, remember to drink water.  Not drinking enough water can have consequences.

Drinking enough water helps with energy, focus and how we physically feel throughout the day. And sometimes, feeling just a little off…Can simply be a sign that we need more water.

So, I’ve been more mindful of making sure I am drinking water.  I’m putting this out there in case you find yourself in a similar situation.

A glass of water in the morning. Another with lunch. One more in the afternoon. Nothing complicated, just a gentle rhythm.  Sometimes I’ll keep a glass nearby as I sit with my coffee or bring one with me when I go for a short walk — even if it’s just around the house.

Drinking water isn’t about being perfect. It’s about supporting yourself in quiet, consistent ways.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day!  Let me know what habits you have that help you stay energized and healthy.  Thank you for reading and please subscribe.   I’d love to hear your thoughts too, we’re in this together!

Love, Maryanne.
