Letting Go of Who We Used to Be
🌿 Reflection
There comes a time in life when things begin to shift.
Not all at once… but gradually.
Roles change.
Routines soften.
The structure that once defined our days begins to look different.
And with those changes can come a quiet question:
Who am I now?
For many of us, we spent years being needed.
At work.
At home.
In ways that shaped how we saw ourselves.
Those roles mattered.
They gave our days purpose and direction.
So when those roles begin to change or fall away…
It can feel disorienting.
Even if the change is welcome.
Even if we were ready for it.
There can still be a sense of loss.
But there is something gentle and true to hold onto:
Letting go is not the same as losing.
Letting go can mean something has run its course.
It can mean you have lived that chapter fully.
And now… there is space.
Space for new rhythms.
New ways of living.
A quieter kind of strength.
We are not meant to stay the same forever.
Strength looks different now.
Energy looks different now.
Even our dreams may look different.
That doesn’t mean we are becoming less.
It means we are evolving.
You don’t have to forget who you were.
You can honor that version of yourself.
The one who worked hard.
The one who showed up.
The one who carried so much.
That person is still part of you.
And now, you are allowed to become something new.
Take a quiet moment to reflect:
• What part of my life has changed recently?
• Is there something I am ready to gently let go of?
• What might I be making room for?
